学术研究院下属研究中心的研究领域已经覆盖除中东、大洋洲和非洲以外的世界所有国家和地区，拥有研究中心/研究室13个：美国研究中心、日本研究中心、韩国/朝鲜研究中心、俄罗斯中亚研究中心、上海合作组织研究中心、欧洲问题研究中心、北欧中心、拉丁美洲研究室、联合国与国际组织研究中心、中国外交研究中心以及南亚研究中心、巴基斯坦研究中心、欧洲问题研究中心政治部。其中还包括关于美国研究的教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地（小基地）和国家哲学社会科学创新基地（大基地）。美国研究中心美国研究中心是国际问题研究院的核心部分，成立于1985年。它是我国最早建立的专门从事美国研究的主要机构之一，也是我国高校第一个专门从事美国研究的机构。中心于2000年被批准为国家教育部普通高等学校人文社会科学重点研究基地，2006年中心又被批准为美国研究国家哲学社会科学创新基地。教育部和复旦大学对中心的科研工作提供资助，中心还通过设在美国首都华盛顿的复旦基金会(The Fudan Foundation)得到美国国际开发署所属的美国海外学校和医院项目的赞助。美国研究中心在中美关系、防扩散与军备控制、美国国会等领域的研究和国际合作，已取得国内外学术和政策界的肯定。复旦基金会设有“谢希德奖学金”，以纪念谢希德教授对中美关系所作出的杰出努力。该中心出版的《美国问题研究》丛书，已被列入CSSCI来源期刊。已故复旦大学校长谢希德教授曾担任该中心首任主任，第二届主任为倪世雄教授，现任主任为沈丁立教授，吴心伯教授和信强副教授担任中心的副主任。日本研究中心日本研究中心成立于1990年7月。其宗旨是以中日关系为主线，以经济为重点，全面开展对日本的政治、经济和社会、文化的研究和交流，并带动对东亚的研究和交流。中心长期得到日本国际交流基金、日本驻上海总领事馆、日本卫材株式会社、日本万国博览会纪念协会、日本有关专家学者以及国内各大学、研究机构的大力支持。从1991年起，日本国际交流基金把中心作为据点机构予以重点资助。中心现任主任郭定平教授，中心目前有专职人员11名，校内外兼职研究员百余名，并聘请多名日本、美国、韩国和新加坡等国家的国外著名学者、实业家担任顾问教授。韩国研究中心韩国研究中心成立于1992年10月，中心现任主任石源华教授，现有专职研究人员6人，兼职研究人员30余人。中心的研究工作在海内外产生了相当的影响，得到了韩国国际交流财团、学术振兴财团、日本国际交流基金等资助。中心出版《韩国研究论丛》，2006年入选教育部CSSCI来源集刊。中心图书馆现有韩国朝鲜学研究方面的专业书籍近万册，是国内韩国朝鲜学研究方面具有较大影响的专门图书馆。中亚研究中心俄罗斯中亚研究中心成立于2005年，现任主任为赵华胜教授，副主任为杨心宇教授、唐朱昌教授，目前共有研究人员10名。中心主要研究方向有：俄罗斯中亚政治和外交、中俄关系，中国中亚外交、上海合作组织、转型经济、俄罗斯法律等。上合组织研究中心上海合作组织研究中心成立于2005年，是目前国内教育部直属的惟一一家上海合作组织研究中心，承担与上海合作组织有关的课题，组织相关研究。中心现任主任为赵华胜教授。俄罗斯中亚研究中心、上海合作组织研究中心两者各有侧重、互为补充。欧洲问题研究中心欧洲问题研究中心于1993年正式建立。1996年10月，为实施“中欧高教合作项目”，根据教育部要求进行改组。该中心着重组织和开展对欧盟与欧洲一体化的经济、政治、法律、社会文化及内外关系等方面的研究与教学，逐步建成为欧洲问题的研究基地、教学基地、学术交流基地与信息资料基地。中心现任常务副主任为丁纯教授，副主任为陈志敏、胡荣花教授。下设综合、经济、政治、法律、社会与文化6个研究室，集合校内各学科研究人员30余人。中心特聘教授梅兆荣大使任主席并主持“大使论坛”，戴炳然、伍贻康、燕爽教授任副主席。欧洲中心政治部欧洲问题研究中心政治部成立于2006年，现有专职在编人员3员，现任主任为陈志敏教授。欧洲问题研究中心政治部与复旦大学欧洲问题研究中心为兄弟单位，与中心其他成员进行合作，举行会议和开展课题研究等。同时，它和复旦大学国际关系与公共事务学院进行一定程度的合作，如积极参与其部分教学工作。欧洲问题研究中心政治部主要研究与欧盟（欧洲）政治有关的问题，包括欧洲内部政治与社会问题、欧盟外交与安全问题及欧洲政治文化问题等。北欧中心北欧中心成立于1995年，是由复旦大学、北欧亚洲研究所和丹麦、芬兰、挪威、瑞典和冰岛25所大学合办的一个合作平台，是中国与北欧学者、学生交流与合作的纽带。北欧中心的活动主要包括：1）为中国和北欧的学者就双方共同感兴趣的主题组织培训、研讨会、学术会议；2）为从事北欧研究的中国学者和学生和从事中国研究的北欧学者和学生提供教学；3）为北欧商业团体组织安排在上海的活动和课程。现任董事会、理事会主席由芬兰坦培雷大学校长Krista Varantola女士担任。复旦大学外事处处长陈寅章教授自1995年北欧中心成立以来一直担任中心的常务主任。中国外交研究中心中国外交研究中心成立于2007年6月14日。中心主任由国际问题研究院副院长任晓教授兼任。中心现有专职研究人员3名，兼职研究员5名。中国外交研究中心主要从事中国当代外交的理论与实践研究。中心的主要活动包括：主办“外交官驻所研究”项目；参与举办“大使论坛”；邀请国内外相关人士举办学术讲座；组织召开学术会议以促进学术交流。中心并出刊中国外交研究工作论文系列。国际组织研究中心联合国与国际组织研究中心成立于2007年6月14日。联合国前副秘书长、中国联合国协会会长陈健大使担任中心主任，张贵洪教授担任中心执行主任。中心的主要研究方向包括国际组织与国际安全、联合国维和行动、联合国与中美关系等。中心设有复旦“联合国研究论坛”（FUNS），邀请联合国官员和学者不定期来中心演讲。中心招收国际组织研究方向的博士生和硕士生。南亚研究中心南亚研究中心于2007年6月成立，杜幼康教授担任主任。中心现有专职研究人员2人，并聘请多名校内外南亚问题专家为特邀研究员。中心的主要研究方向是：冷战结束后的南亚政治、经济、外交和安全问题，美国对南亚的政策，中国与南亚国家的关系等。巴基斯坦研究中心巴基斯坦研究中心成立于2009年10月，由巴基斯坦政府与复旦大学合办，并得到巴基斯坦政府资助，旨在促进中巴高层次学术交流与合作。拉丁美洲研究室拉丁美洲研究室于1964年2月成立，先设于历史系，2001年11月并入新成立的国际问题研究院。现有专职研究人员1名，兼职研究员5名，外籍客座研究员1名。现任主任为朱鸿博博士。主要研究方向为：拉美国际关系，拉美政治，中拉关系，美拉关系，拉美近现代历史等。拉美研究室先后出版译著21部；专著6部；合作编写辞书、年鉴等7种。
