欧洲政治地图欧洲是欧罗巴洲的简称，“欧罗巴”一词据说最初来自腓尼基语的“伊利布”一词，意思是“日落的地方”或“西方的土地”。整个欧洲地势的平均高度为330米，地形以平原为主，南部耸立着一系列山脉，总称阿尔卑斯山系，其中勃朗峰海拔4807米，勃朗峰属法国境内，成为西欧第一高峰。欧洲的河网稠密，水量丰沛。最长的河流是伏尔加河，长3690公里，第二大河是多瑙河，全长2850公里，是世界上流经国家最多的河。欧洲是有常住人口各洲中唯一没有热带气候的一洲，同时寒带气候所占的面积也不大，所以气候温和，降水分布较均。大部分为温带海洋性气候，也有地中海气候，温带大陆性气候，极地气候和高原山地气候等气候。其中温带海洋性气候最为典型。
