Applied surface science 还是top，如果没人灌水的话，影响因子估计就得下滑了。个人觉得surface & coatings technology 的质量更好些，但审稿可能有点严了，今年的影响因子就差一点点就到二区阈值了。。说不定明年又会升上来。我打算投篇thin solid film 或者material chemistry and physics 试试，但据说这两个审稿都有点慢啊

无论是哪一类分区，sci期刊都是划分为四个区，都是按照影响因子高低进行的划分，影响因子由一区至四区递减，一区最高，四区最低，所以，sci期刊中一区期刊学术价值和影响力是最大的，四区期刊在sci期刊中就是综合实力最弱的期刊。 对于作者来说，期刊分区越高，期刊的发表难度越大，一区期刊必然比四区期刊难以发表，一般普通作者很难发表一区期刊，能发表二区期刊对于国内作者来说就已经实属不易了，三区四区相对容易一些，但也只是相对于一区二区期刊，即便是四区期刊，也比国内核心期刊的发表难度高出不少。
中科院自己划的。先是按学科，再按影响因子排列划分。反正不怎么好，水分略大。
首先，我们都清楚，SCI期刊，从各学科各领域来说，每家期刊的出版单位都不同。最快的也要4周，最慢的甚至要18个月！从分区来说，一般1区的要比4区的中稿率低很多，但并非绝对，如果大家认真看我的截图，就会明白，有的期刊虽然从分区来说不高，但中稿率依然非常低。1区比4区难是大概率事件，但不是绝对事件。影响因子越高越难投中？大家也会明白，并非绝对。以我们常说的材料类期刊来说。材料类相对来说期刊比较多，所以有些TOP期刊也不会很难，而有的学科期刊很少，当然非常困难了。影响因子，只能作为一个参考，但并不是绝对，当然，顶刊的影响因子一般都不会太低，但并不是影响因子高就一定是顶刊。与出版单位有关，与期刊的审稿人有关，与期刊的编辑分派稿件有关。所以有的稿件半年到一年都没消息的，不一定是被刷了，也可能是还没开始审稿呢！当然与影响因子有关，与分区有关，但并非绝对，还与发文量有关，与学科（大类，小类）有关。所以说，任何一篇SCI都不是随随便便就能成功的，一定是多方面努力后呈现出的结果。
这是中科院划分的，你也可以看影响因子的大小来区分，一般0-1分，1-2分大部分都在四区，三区的得2分以上了，以此类推，你大概就知道在几区了
